Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Saqr Al Nahyan is a regional visionary committed to establishing superior educational institutions, particularly in engineering, entrepreneurship and social studies, to raise the knowledge and awareness of the community he comes from.
True development starts from home. This is the place you know best and the people with whom you share your life.
That conviction is what motivates the effort to advance higher education in the region, and it is the same conviction that shaped this group. A business, like an institution, is worth building only if it strengthens the place it operates in, through the people it trains, the standards it holds, and the capability it leaves behind.
Through diplomatic service and university affiliations during the 1990s, the Chairman came to recognise the pivotal role education plays in national development, and became determined to enhance collegiate facilities in the United Arab Emirates.
